Why are many Japanese drivers slow and have bad habits?

After watching learner drivers be trained at "Suga Driving School" I'm beginning to understand why they are so bad AND soooooo slow.

  • They are taught to go VERY slow around corners.
  • Use indicators / blinkers at the very last moment.
  • Cut corners and / or take them wide as if they are driving a 60ft truck & trailer.
Note: I also witnessed on numerous occasions that some of the instructors have the same bad habits, after being forced to follow them on the public roads around the school.

There you go..... three more things to be added to the LARGE list of Japanese Driver Bad Habits....
